How do I afford care at home? Will my insurance cover these services?

many resources are available to assist consumers with the cost of in-home care. medicare does not currently cover the cost for non-medical In-Home Care services in South carolina, but there are other state funded programs & Vouchers that may be available based on the consumer’s care needs & financial eligibility. veterans benefits are available to veterans, spouses & widows/widowers both through the office of veterans Affairs & Veterans Administration healthcare system. Long Term Care Policies typically include benefits for Non-medical In-Home Care services. agencies are required to be contracted to provide care through many of these programs. it is prudent for the consumer to explore what contracts an agency is eligible to provide services through.
